AICAD INVENTION 2017

 

Art and Design Invention Show 2017 (AICAD INVENTION 2017)  is a competition to celebrate the students and professional participants that have utilized innovation and creativity in art and design products. The competition is also organized as part of  the Asia International Conference Art and Design (AICAD 2017). Institut Seni Budaya Indonesia (ISBI), Bandung and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perak Branch have collaborated to organize the first invention event together. The program serves as a platform to identify the students innovative products based on their research projects in universities or schools.  Moreover, this event strives to enhance the participants’ especially students’ creativity and innovative effort in a prestigious arena.

PARTICIPANT:

Individual or Group

1.Between age:

  1. Young Category  –  13 to 17 years
  2. Higher Institution’s Student category  –  17+ years and above (undergraduate or postgraduate)

2. For group participation, it can be up to 4 members maximum (exclusive of the supervisor)

3. Participant need to submit a Presentation Poster (A0 – Size ) &  Presentation Manuscript (A4 – Size) in Hardcopy to :

REGISTRATION FEES & POLICY:

  1. Registration fees will be based on the number of papers accepted for invention competition
  2. All fees will be charged based on the name of the first author
  3. All participants are required to confirm their payment before 15th September 2017
  4. All registration forms must be accompanied by proof of payment
  5. Your registration WILL NOT be confirmed until the payment is received

All participants will get Certificate of Participation (One certificate per project participation with all members name on it). 

The Award Certificate will be given to the winner (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Best of The Best, Emerging Inventor, Special Award and Diamond Award).

MONEY PRIZES:

  1. Best of The Best of each category (6) will be awarded IDR 1,000,000.00 = IDR 6,000,000.00
  2. Young Inventor will be awarded IDR 1,000,000.00
  3. Emerging Inventor will be awarded IDR 1,000,000.00
  4. Special Award will get IDR 1,000,000.00
  5. Diamond Award will get IDR 1,000,000.00

Universiti Teknologi MARA  Cawangan Perak  was established with the co-operation of the Perak State Goverment and officially opened in 1985 at Bandar Baru Seri Manjung. The campus is now located at Bandar Seri Iskandar, Perak Tengah District and occupies an area of approximately 392.36 acres. The University started operations on 1st January 1999. This campus is strategically located along the Ioh-Lumut main road, which provides easy access to both Ipoh & Lumut.

The campus has built new hostels for the students and is able to accommodate a maximum of 8,000 students. At present there are 9665 full-time students in 30 programmes and 418 part time students in 7 programmes, with 539 full time lecturers and 359 administratyive and support staff.

Apart from the classrooms, other facilities available are 38 computer laboratories with more than 1,000 computers, 10 technology-enabled classroom (TEC), drafting studios, building and ceramics workshops, a multipurpose hall, a library and various state of the art sporting facilities.
